expand/collapse Bush is Such a Liar
It Turns Out Ahmadinejad Was the Truthful One
by Robert Scheer
Bush is such a liar. Or is he just out to lunch on the most important issue that he faces? In October, he charged that Iran’s nuclear weapons program was bringing the world to the precipice of World War III, even though the White House had been informed at least a month earlier that Iran had no such program and had stopped efforts to develop one back in 2003.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who took office as Iran’s president in August of 2005, two years after Iran’s nuclear weapons program ended, has now been vindicated in his claims that Iran has abandoned the weaponization program. Not so Bush, who has summarily dismissed the intelligence community’s findings and, using his favorite tactic in dealing with debacles, is sticking to his original story. A story, as in the case of the earlier Iraq threat inflation, that too many in the mass media and Congress, including some leading Democrats, have bought.

If W. can shape the intelligence to match his faith-based beliefs, as with Iraq, then he will believe the intelligence — no matter how incredible it is.

If he can’t shape it to match his beliefs, as with Iran, then he will disregard the intelligence — no matter how credible it is.

The president, who has shut out reality for seven years, justified continuing in his world of ideological illusion by saying that he would not be “blinded” to the realities of the world. You can’t get more Orwellian than that.

expand/collapse Huckabee's Family Values Rapist
by Murray Waas
As governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee aggressively pushed for the early release of a convicted rapist despite being warned by numerous women that the convict had sexually assaulted them or their family members, and would likely strike again. The convict went on to rape and murder at least one other woman.

expand/collapse Huckabee-Christ Shocker
by Andy Borowitz
In a bold move that could dramatically alter the playing field of the 2008 GOP presidential race, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee today named Jesus Christ as his vice-presidential running mate.

Governor Huckabee has made an increasing number of comments about his relationship with Jesus in recent debates, but few Republican insiders expected him to announce that he was anointing Christ as his vice-presidential pick.

Today's Quote:

"War Is A Racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes."

Editor's Notes & Rants:

Israel is pissed they haven't managed to lie US into WWIII for them.

United States of Hell. Pentagon Nazis knew four years ago that Guantanamo detainee was innocent, yet still refuses to release him.

Blowhard Joe Biden threatens to close barn door after horse leaves, can't see any reason to do so beforehand.

Mike Huckabee yesterday proved he is unqualified to run for president, when a reporter asked him to comment on the just released NIE that concluded that Iran has not been pursuing nuclear weapons since 2003. Huckabee had to ask the reporter whan an "NIE" was. You can't make this shit up! Then, he said he "didn't know where that was coming from" so didn't know why he should trust it. He doesn't even know what a National Intelligence Estimate is, or where it comes from, and he wants to be president? Elect this idiot, and the only thing he will read while in the White House is the Old Testament. Unfortunately, there is the ignoramous segment of the population who would vote for him just because of that. Hasn't one retarded president been enough?
