expand/collapse Tyranny on the March
by Sidney Blumenthal
Every aspect of George Bush's foreign policy has now collapsed. Every dream of neoconservatism has become a nightmare. Every doctrine has turned to dust. The influence of the United States has reached a nadir, its lowest point since before the second world war, when the country was encased in isolationism.

expand/collapse At the Mercy of the Military
by Chris Hedges
The last, best hope for averting a war with Iran lies with the United States military. The Democratic Congress, cowed by the Israel lobby and terrified of appearing weak on defense before the presidential elections, will do nothing to halt an attack. The media, especially the electronic press, is working overtime to whip up fear of a nuclear Iran and tar Tehran with abetting attacks against American troops in Iraq. The American public is complacent, unsure of what to believe, knocked off balance by fear and passive. We will be saved or doomed by our generals.

expand/collapse The Grand Delusion
A Conspiracy of Two Parties
by Joel Hirschhorn
Keith Olbermann was praised when he called the Bush presidency a criminal conspiracy. That missed the larger truth. The whole two-party political system is a criminal conspiracy hiding behind illusion induced delusion.

Virtually everything that Bush correctly gets condemnation for could have been prevented or negated by Democrats, if they had had courage, conviction and commitment to maintaining the rule of law and obedience to the Constitution. Bush grabbed power from the feeble and corrupt hands of Democrats. Democrats have failed the vast majority of Americans. So why would sensible people think that giving Democrats more power is a good idea? They certainly have done little to merit respect for their recent congressional actions, or inaction when it comes to impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

Today's Quote:

"This idea of weapons of mass exterminations utterly horrible and is something which no one with one spark of humanity can tolerate. I will not pretend to obey a government which is organizing a mass massacre of mankind."
- Bertrand Russell
Editor's Notes & Rants:

Clinton was impeached for lying about a blow-job, but Bush lies the country into a war that kills 1.2 million innocent civilians -- and gets a free pass. The people who supported this awful war are going to burn in the same Hell as the Nazis.

In New Texas, or "Iraq" as some still call it, a DynCorp security guard murdered an innocent civilian in the streets of Baghdad -- in broad daylight -- then just drove away. [AFP]

Life in These Fascists United States. Police taser man for having diabetic seizure. He was unconscious at the time. Then they arrested him for "resisting arrest," because his muscles contracted due to the current of the taser.

Bill O'Reilly declares war on Christmas. If you use white lights on your Christmas trees, you are probably a terrorist!

Omen. Not the movie, Hillary.

Hillary Clinton (GOPlite-NY) really wants to head the PR dept. for FEMA. Clinton campaign admits it was caught planting questions in audience.

Neocrazy Bill Kristol wants Joe Lieberman (Nazi-CT) to be VP on the GOP ticket.

The lying, treasonous Democrats.

What if they declared a dictatorship, and nobody noticed? Democrats write Defense Authorization Bill that includes language allowing the use of the US military here at home, against US citizens.

The Bill also includes $100 million to develop a space weapons system for world domination. Hitler would be so damned jealous.

Barack Obama thinks "separate but equal" is equal.

Florida congressman Bob Allen convicted of solititing male prostitution from a "big, scary, black" cop in a park bathroom. Now he faces 60 days in jail with lots of big, scary black men. Wait a minute! Is this a punishment, or a reward?
